Fresh and invigorating, First Due Breakfast Brew is a flavorful way to greet the morning or beat the mid-day blues. The aroma is sweet and rich with the scent of raisins, and the dark translucent brew is strong, with just a hint of astringency. The flavor is wonderfully bold, with notes of sweet caramel and malty oats. A hint of sweet raisin lingers in the aftertaste. Excellent in every way, First Due Breakfast Brew is perfect straight up, but equally enjoyable with a splash of milk and a bit of sugar if you prefer.
Brewing Instructions: Start with cold water and bring to just under a boil (170º – 180º). Place the tea bag into a mug and pour hot water in. Allow to steep for 4-6 minutes depending on the strength you prefer. Remove the tea bag and enjoy.
Ingredients: Organic black teas.
Black Tea: Black teas are fully oxidized teas and offer a rich robust strong cup. Black is by far the most popular tea in the world. In the US, it accounts for about 80% of the tea consumed.
Flavor: Black tea is a type of tea that is more oxidized than oolong, white, and green teas. Black tea is generally stronger in flavor than other teas with notes that range from earthy, molasses, malty, vine fruit, smoky, leather, and mineral.
Caffeine Level: Black tea characteristically has the most caffeine of all the tea types. One of the reasons for this is a longer infusion time, but also due to the longer oxidation time and final firing production step.
